My friends often tease me that I go on way too many vacations...I personally think there is no such thing as too many vacations!  Growing up, my family didn't have a lot of money, but we always made family getaways a  priority and that mentality has stayed with me ever since.  All the most fun family memories are from these vacations.

Brady and I have decided that we will take a once a year "big vacation"...this doesn't mean business trips, visits to relatives, or long weekends somewhere.  This is an all out, take a week off work and get out of flat old Indiana!

Next year we will be traveling here...
Any idea where that is?
How bout now?
Okay, if you still don't know...this next one is really going to give it away...
That's right people...the Brady and Sam are going to Maine!  Woo hoo!  I cannot wait!  We will probably be doing this trip in late fall.  We are planning to go early enough to enjoy the famous fall colors at Acadia National Park, but late enough to hit the slopes and do some east coast skiing.  We aren't really sure where we are going to ski yet...if anyone has any suggestions, that would be great!

For those of you who know us really well...you know what comes after Maine ;)

The past week Brady and I have been doing this...
and this...
and this...
and this...
and a little of this...
Thats right people...Brady and I have been married ONE YEAR now so we took ourselves a little vaca to celebrate good times...come on!  Can you tell I am hyper?

We went to Vegas...thumbs down.  I really did not like that city.  It was so skeezy...I won't be planning a trip back there any time soon.  Then we went to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon which was amazing...then we went to the North Rim on the Grand Canyon which was DOUBLE AMAZING!  After spending a couple nights at the North Rim we weren't in any hurry to get back to Vegas, so we took a detour into Utah and spent the day at Zion National Park.  Yes I know what you are thinking..."that's odd that Sam did something on vacation that wasn't in the plan"...I know I feel the same way.  The must just show how much I really disliked Vegas...or maybe all those prickly pear margaritas on the North Rim made me a little loopy?

All in all, we had an amazing trip together!  I love the southwest and cannot wait to take our babies there one day =)

I also love LOVE LOVE my hubby and I am so thankful for the past year of being married to  him!

With that I will leave you with more pictures =)
